wen for my 1st FOP on sat. was not hapi wif 2 foreigners. they jus cut queue n when i told them to queue up, they ignore mi n stil cut queue. happen tt 3 gals wif mi wen to toilet so i call them to come back quickly. n e persons in charge din wan to let them in at 1st but luckily 1 of them remembered tt they ask 1 of the persons for directions to toilet. so they can get in. luckily e ppl cuttin queue din dampen my spirits but i can understand now why some ppl do not wan to go for tt event ever agn.
this yr there r 2 performers. bob fitts n true worshippers. e worship is ok though i din 'jump' wif e others cuz not comfortable. i prefer e sermon more. e speaker is mark connor fr australia citylife church. quite enjoyed his sermon n manage to captivate my attn such tt i din space out or feel sleepy. its abt e parable of e prodigal son, in luke 15:11.
i hav heard n read this parable bef but it did not register to mi tt both sons r lost which e pastor pointed out. n he continued to talk abt elder sons n younger sons. jesus is e father who willingly n happily accepts his son back, e elder son refer to e pharisees n e younger son refer to sinners. jesus is always willing to accept no matter who we are.
i take back new info wif mi yest. n when he ask us to pray a prayer together my tears jus dropped. i was touched by his sermon n listening to e sniffles around mi, im not e onli one. n 1 thing tt surprises mi is he willingly admit tt nowadays churches hav more elder sons than we wan to admit. will go for nxt yr's event agn!!
